    Hi, Dan.

I purchased a Coonan .357 in 1988/1989 and I love the gun. It came with a driftable front sight, but, the rear sight did not suit my eyes and desire for fine adjustment. I sent the gun back to your shop (through my dealer) to repair a fractured extractor (I broke it while cleaning), and to have the rear sight replaced with a Millet sight.

I was very pleased to have the gun returned, all repairs completed, including a few I did not know I needed (trigger upgrade, barrel bushing and spring). The millet sight was machined into the slide perfectly, and resembles the current sight configuration of offered standard configuration?

The gun was retured, accurized and tuned perfectly. It shoots like a laser.

Can you tell me when the rear sight configuration was changed? And was my sight replacement gunsmith order an influence on the current design? I am not looking for royalties or anything, because you guys did the work. But, it would be great to know if my gun had any role in this development, as I would be very proud to have been a part of the process.

Keep up the great work, and attention to details.

    M. “Ed” Skinner

You make the Coonan and FAL receivers and I have heard you are also the man behind Nodak Spud. So my question is, what all do you in the firearms industry?
